The CFGBA is publishing the region's first green building directory. For more information and advertising rates, see Green Direct rate sheet. Follow the progress of North Carolina's first gut-renovation of an existing home under US Green Building Council's LEED for Homes standards and the first home in North Carolina following the dual path of LEED for Home and North Carolina's HealthyBuilt Homes Program. The "green renovation" of 3404 Talon Court in Wilmington, NC is spearheaded by local architect and CFGBA board member Jay DeChesere. DeChesere has assembled a team of design professionals for this project which will be documented step-by-step on the Internet and video. It will also incorporate an advisory team consisting of mortgage broker, appraiser, real estate broker and surveyor. Learn more....
