Collaborative workspace opens
BuenaSpace, a new incubator-style workspace for entrepreneurs and telecommuters, has opened in downtown Wilmington. This for-profit enterprise is a partnership between Robert Sharp, owner of Digieffects, and Jonnie Sharp, owner of Buena Sustainable Communities. The husband and wife team held a ribbon cutting celebration on June 10, which included remarks by Wilmington Mayor Bill Saffo.

Located at 27 North Front Street in downtown Wilmington, BuenaSpace occupies the entire second floor of this historic building. The space houses two anchor-tenants, Digieffects and Wide Open Technologies and offers numerous desk spaces for members, along with a conference room, kitchen, WiFi and a networked printer/copier. Memberships will be sold in a manner similar to gym memberships, creating a capacity that is several times the amount of actual desk space.
The BuenaSpace renovation was performed by Matt Hosmer of ILM Design Build, a CFGBA Silver Sponsor. Buena Sustainable Communities is a business member of CFGBA.
